Hey there, ihrse!^^

Da es ja einen sammelthread für goth, rock, punk und all das gibt, der jedoch hauptsächlich letztere beiden themen behandelt, hier ein Thread für all die
Oldschool Gruftiemukke!

Du bist mit Sopor Aeternus, Bauhaus, The Cure, The Sisters of Mercy, Fields of The Nephilim, Rosetta Stone und Depeche Mode aufgewachsen?

Na, dann hereinspaziert! FS grins

Und ich entlehne meine Definition von Goth einfach mal dem urban dictionary:

Old School aesthetics are punkish and cheesie, dark and sometimes elegant or sofisticated, but you don't have to dress goth to be goth.

They have no philosophy, nor a lifestyle, the only thiing that makes them a subculture is the music. Metal, Nu Metal, Industrial, EBM, or related genres are not included. Psychobilly, Horror Punk, Darkwave, New Wave and No Wave are related genres to goth, but generally are not considered goth, except for some Darkwave (Sopor Aeternus) and No Wave (Lydia Lunch) bands.

Goth music is not only music from the 80s, we have many groups from the 90s and 00s making goth music, like Naughty Zombies, Cinema Strange, Diva Destriuction, Joy Disaster, Faith and The Muse, Bat Attakk, London After
Midnight, Two Witches, Frank The Baptist, All Gone Dead, etc...

Ich hab mich zwar nie als Goth gesehen, sondern eher als Openminded Metalhead, aber ich bin auch langjähriger Fan von STS und ASP mag ich auch. Ebenso bin ich hin und wieder mal Wave, Industrial und EBM nicht abgeneigt. Zudem ist meine Kleidung überwiegend schwarz. Also passt schon. Pinkie happy

Hör ja so gut wie alles düstere was mir unter die Nase kommt und anständig klingt

Und Sopor Aeternus kenn ich noch nicht aber werd ich mir direkt mal auf die Ohren schmeißen sofern sich YT schnell mal öffnet

Dieses Album haben sie gemacht um der schwarzen Scene zu Zeigen dass sie auch dazu gehören

Du hast recht, aber ich dachte mir, dass u.a. vom alter her die meisten nur das kennen...^^ und so krass wollt ichs nicht eingrenzen, weil sonst hier niemand wäre. Big Grin

@Seth, naja.... nur weil sie dort ein publikum haben heisst nicht dass sie dem genre zuzuordnen sind

@Seth, naja.... nur weil sie dort ein publikum haben heisst nicht dass sie dem genre zuzuordnen sind

Also ich find eigendlich dass jede Musikgruppe der schwarzen Scene angehört solange sie in ihren Liedern diese düstere Atmosphäre schafft.
Ich mag es nicht in diversen Unterkategorien dies einzustufen Undecided

Ist halt meine Ansicht, aber ich sehe StS als vollwertiges Mitgleid der schwarzen Scene

Also welchen Genre würdest denn dann StS einstufen?? Undecided

Ich find es doof sie auszuschließen wenn sie doch selber sagen dass sie dazugehören

Sie greifen schließlich Thematiken auf die defintiv in dieses Genre reinpassen

Die gehören offiziell zum Mittelalterrock, und das hat an sich nicht viel mit oldschool gruftiekrams zu tun...^^ sondern mit mittelalter.

Ich würde auch behaupten, das meine Folk Rock/Metal Band Gothic macht, wenn ich weiß das es sich so besser verkäuft.
