Hello everyone,
today I'd like to introduce you to our project, called „Underground“. It's a MLP/pony-based forum which we were planning for a while. We're doing this to provide an alternative forum where you'll be able to discuss whatever topic you'd like to talk about, in english, with people from everywhere around the world.
~ Features & Topics ~
On the one side, we've got the themed area, of course, featuring everything pony-related you might want to discuss – episodes, ponies themselves, or the fandom. On the other side, there's an extensive off-topic area for various topics, including modern technology (PC, TV, etc.) as well as a general section where you can post anything you cannot relate to another forum.
Another very important feature for us is providing a place where you can discuss anything without anyone trolling or spamming, thus we're taking special care of all the topics, to get a good overview and prevent you from any kind of discrimination/harassment. What we're trying is to do is connecting people from everywhere, no matter what nationality, and keeping a familial and versant atmosphere anyways.
At the moment, we're also thinking about a hidden section to discuss some rather controversial topics, which you'd be able to see after verifying your identity - although this is just the initial thought.
~ Team & Software ~
Since we all were able to get some experience as either moderators, administrators or technicians on other boards, every team member is quite familiar with supporting users and maintaining forums. At the moment, we've got developers using PHP, CSS and .NET languages.
To use a software which is easy to handle and powerful in its possibilities anyways, we chose WoltLab's Burning Board, which offers a huge variety of customization options – such as:
However, this is still the beginning, and we're not even close to realizing all the stuff we have in mind right now. There's a lot of stuff to do, and we're looking forward to hopefully see some of you guys on our board soon.
~ Feedback & Suggestions ~
Whenever you've got anything you'd like to criticize, praise or request, feel free to contact one of the administrators or submit a new topic in our feedback area. We've recently implemented some of the users most wanted requests, and we're also trying to do this as quick as possible, especially right now. It's the most important aspect for us, to make you guys, the users, feel comfortable whilst being around, and to be able to provide a nice atmosphere, we need your opinion, critics, and so on.
If you haven't got your account yet, you can sign up by clicking here, or consider leaving feedback by mailing us (email below).
~ Partners ~
Listen up, gamers! Our current partner is the well-known and popular gaming clan „Equestrian Vanguard“. About 200 members from everywhere around the world, playing games such as Battlefield 3, DayZ and Guild Wars 2. If you would like to get in touch with some more international bronies, this clan is the way to go.
So what's next? We've got an experienced team, as well as an advanced software, giving us the ability to provide you the best look and feel that's available. But there's one thing missing – you! Exactly, we're looking for you guys. Feel free to register, participate in discussions and submit your own threads, cause that's what the forum is meant for. We'd really like to welcome you in our forum, and if you've got any further questions, feel free to contact us using the mail address info@pony-underground.com.

- Advanced Search, giving you the option to find threads intuitive, without having to type every single letter like the original poster did
- Live-Search, which is searching for related topics whilst you're typing a new thread (to prevent multiple threads with the same topic)
- WYSIWYG-Editor, showing you what your text will look like after it has been posted
- User-Groups for you to assign yourself to your favourite group (Rarity is best pony? - show others your opinion by joining this usergroup and getting custom icons below your username)
- Quote-Notification, which means you'll be noticed whenever a user quotes you
- Shoutbox, giving you the ability to chat using the website itself – no plugins needed
- “Thanks“/“Thumbs Up“-System usable to show your support
- ...
