My Little Pony the Movie

Guten Abend!
Hatte noch keinen Post dazu gefunden, deswegen mach ich schnell einen auf.
Es ist ja vor ein paar Stunden der neue Trailer zum My Little Pony film rausgekommen und ich wollte mal gucken, ob man sich vl in einer Gruppe von Bronys zusammen treffen könnte um den Film vl gemeinsma im kino zu sehen, vl sogar bei der Premiäre.
Falls sowas für den Film überhaupt existiert.
Weil ich komme nämlich aus Hamm,nähe Dortmund und da ist Brony technisch leider garnichts los , weswegen ich dann vermutlich alleine im Kino Sall mit hunderten von kleinen Mädchen sitzen werde

Wäre halt auch etwas blöd ^^
Vor allem da es so viele große Städte mit tollen Kinos in der Nähe gibt,Dortmund,Köln,Münster,usw
Wäre echt cool, wenn man sich da zusammen finden könnte

My name is Stjonal. I am a representative of the Dutch fraction of Bronies. In the Netherlands we will not be getting an english release of the MLP Movie. A lot of us are willing to go to Germany in order to watch the movie. So we thought, maybe we could go together with some of the german bronies! That might be fun. If you will have a meet/movie that you will watch together in a city near the german/dutch border, like Dusseldorf, Dortmunt or Munster, A lot of us would be willing to come as well.

I'll keep an eye out for this and other related threads.

So where shall we go i guess, Münster,Dortmund,and Köln would be good points, they are close to the boarder.
But it depends .... Where are you from exactly?
Or are you scattered alll over the netherlands?

As by now, there don't seem to be any theaters in Germany which will regularly show the movie with its original english dub

There will be, however, an event showing the movie in english, organised by Bronies Bayern e.V. The only issue for you: it won't be near your region, it will be in Nürnberg. But if you want to travel... well, perhaps just have a look: https://www.bronies.de/showthread.php?tid=26286 Originally, this "movie meetup" was intended mainly for german visiw, so the thread is in German but the movie will be in English.

This show will only be happening by special order, that means the Cinecitta theater won't show it again in English in its regular program.

I love this idea ,my only problem is, that it is a little bit far away and maybe expensive
especially when iam broke, because ill go to the bronycon this year .......
Does anyone knoe how much a trainticket would cost, to get to Nürnberg?

It seems cool, but Nurdingen is a bit far away.

But if you are able to rent an entire cinema, maybe the same can be done in the Netherlands.
I will look into the matter, but still I will watch the threads here

I'll contact some cinema owners in Düsseldorf and try to get them to play the english version... Hopefully there will be at least some reply.

I live in Düsseldorf and would totally welcome it to watch the movie with not only some German but also Dutch bronies Like some pointed out alrdy it'll be difficult, to watch the movie in english here in Germany. I know of at least one cinema in Düsseldorf, that plays movies in OV on a regular basis, but MLP will be a tough sell.

Where are you from exactly btw? I grew up in Krefeld and was in the Netherlands quite often as a kid with my dad, great place for fishing

Sag dann Bescheid, was du raus finden konntest, würde mich wie gehabt auch interessieren. Weil ob ich den Film auf Deutsch schauen will, ich weiß nicht..^^'

Wenn alle Stricke reißen und hier in der Gegend kein Kino sein sollte, was den Film auf englisch zeigt, hier ein Plan B:

Schritt 1. Kauft den Film sobald er auf DVD erscheint ( oder BluRay wenn´s euch lieber ist ;D )

Schritt 2. Packt die DVD ( oder BluRay ) in eure Tasche, ruft so viele Bronies an die ihr kennt ( oder anderweitig erreichen könnt ) und belagert anschließend das Haus von einem, der ein Heimkino-System, sowie einen extra großen 4K Ultra HD TV besitzt ( oder gleich ne ganze Kinoleinwand im "Mini"-Format^^ ) so kommt zumindest noch immer ein wenig Kino-Feeling auf. ; )

Schritt 3. Profit!


Bin ich froh, dass ich dank meines Cousins auf diesen Plan ausweichen kann, sollte sich hier kein entsprechendes Kino finden lassen.^^ Denn 500km bis nach Nürnberg nur für´s Kino-Meetup is mir eindeutig zu weit, so ne Strecke fahr ich höchstens 1 Mal im Jahr und das geht schon für die Gala drauf. xD

Aber mal abwarten, vielleicht findet sich ja etwas. Und Düsseldorf wäre noch definitiv im Rahmen von der Entfernung her :3

In Köln haben wir das Metropolis. Das ist ein vergleichsweise kleines Kino direkt am Ebertplatz, hat aber immer wieder Filme auch im O-Ton im Programm - so konnte ich mir letztes Jahr Zootopia und Deadpool auf Englisch ansehen. Ich hab sie Anfang der Woche mal angeschrieben und gefragt, ob sie den MLP Film zeigen, habe aber noch keine Antwort erhalten

Ah, ein Southpark Klassiker xD

Mit Nürnberg überlege ich grade stark, ich bin August auf der BronyCon, da ist nen Zugticket plus Übernachtung nach Nürnberg natürlich nix gegen im Vergleich. Schade, dass der Film nicht schon August raus kommt, hätte mir den dann einfach direkt in den USA angeguckt xD

Habe nun ein paar Antworten:
Die Cinema / Filmkunstkinos in Düsseldorf werden MLP Der Film nicht im Programm haben. Die Betreiber des Kino UFA Palast Düsseldorf werden erst etwa 3 bis 4 Wochen vor Erstaufführung wissen, ob und in welcher Sprache sie den Film anbieten - vermutlich weil erst dann die Preise und Lizenzkonditionen der großen Lieferanten fest stehen.

Danke für den Tip! Ist natürlich näher dran aus Düsseldorf als Nürnberg, wobei das meine ich beim Zug keinen großen Unterschied macht.

(Another Dutch user here, so doing this in English -- but feel free to reply in German, I don't have any difficulty reading it. I'm not a representative of the Dutch like Stjonal is; just posting out here to let my own interest be known)

To put some things into perspective, I myself live pretty much in the middle of the Netherlands, near Utrecht. The Ruhr area is easy to reach, Essen is about two hours by car (Google says less, but parking etc). A lot of people live further west than me (thus have a longer journey) but for me personally, anything up to about 200km, I'd be there. Might find some overnight accomodation as well, so I don't have to rush back immediately afterwards (also food and drinks).
I would go up to Koln or Bonn if there is absolutely no other option, any further than that and I'm really starting to struggle to justify this, no matter how great it would be to watch this on the big screen in English.

(to compare: both Nuremberg and Ludwigsburg are around 600km. Costs aside, the amount of travel time versus actual meet time becomes disproportional)
